Silica anti-corrosive pigments are a type of pigment that is used in coatings and paints to provide corrosion
protection to metal surfaces. These pigments are made from silica, which is a naturally occurring mineral that
is known for its excellent anti-corrosive properties.
Silica anti-corrosive pigments work by forming a protective barrier on the metal surface, preventing moisture and
other corrosive agents from reaching the metal substrate. This helps to prevent rust and corrosion from forming on
the metal surface, extending the lifespan of the coating and the metal itself.
These pigments are commonly used in marine coatings, automotive coatings, industrial coatings, and other applications
where corrosion protection is essential. They are available in various forms, including powders, pastes, and dispersions,
making them easy to incorporate into different types of coatings.
Overall, silica anti-corrosive pigments are an effective and reliable solution for protecting metal surfaces from corrosion,
helping to maintain the integrity and appearance of the coated metal for years to come.

Product performance & application
►Product characteristics and application: this product is different from other antirust additives, in the form of powder,
easy to use. In general, MS-730 is suitable for solvent-based systems, and MS-780 is suitable for water-based systems
(with better long-term water resistance).
►Application: MS-730 is especially suitable for intermediate or topcoats (with epoxy zinc-rich primer or zinc phosphate
primer) to show the best water resistance and salt spray resistance. MS-780 is suitable for solvent-based and water-based
primers for coils, general industrial primers and primers for automotive and Marine coatings. It has good anti-rust effect for
different metal substrates (carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy, etc.). The film thickness is ≥20μm. The NSC-400 is especially
suitable for Marine coatings under water and industrial coatings used in high humidity environments (due to its advantages of
long term water resistance).
►Recommested Dosage and Usage: (1) Water-based system: Addition amount (based on total formula): 1-4%; (2) solvent-
based primer: adding amount (in total formula) : 3-7%.
