Product Description
SL-701 is a very fine-grained wax after-treated precipitated silica as white powder.Precipitated silica is a white, amorphous
powder that is commonly used as a functional filler in water-based coatings. It is produced by the reaction of sodium silicate
and sulfuric acid, which results in the formation of silica particles.
In water-based coatings, precipitated silica acts as a rheology modifier, improving the flow and leveling properties of the coating.
It also enhances the film integrity and durability, providing better abrasion resistance and anti-blocking properties. Additionally, it
can improve the stability and viscosity of the coating formulation.
The white color of precipitated silica makes it suitable for use in white or light-colored coatings, as it does not affect the final color
of the coating. It also has a high surface area, which contributes to its ability to absorb and disperse pigments effectively.
Overall, precipitated silica is a versatile additive in water-based coatings, offering improved performance and functionality.
