Steps for perfectly sticking the protective film on the surface of the product:
1. Prepare a suitable large, flat workspace - larger than the object to be protected - clean and free of dust, liquids or contaminants.
2. Put 4.5ft of double-sided tape near each end of the workspace...About eight and a half feet apart.These will be used to hold the film rather than to protect the material.
3. Unfold a small section of protective film with the adhesive face up.Ensure smooth and wrinkle-free and apply the loose end evenly to one of the two sided tapes.
4. Continue to unfold the protective film and place it along the length of the working surface not far from another piece of double-sided tape.Now, roll up the film and place it over the double-sided tape.Be careful not to pull the tape out of the end of the original connection. Adjust the direction of the film to make sure it is straight, not wrinkled and properly stretched, but not so tight that the film will later shrink.(when the film is stretched during use, the edges tend to pull up as the film tries to return to its original shape.)
6. Place the film on a second piece of double-sided tape.
7. Using an art knife, cut the reel from the film that is now waiting to receive the sheet to be protected.
8. Place one edge of a piece of material on one end or side of the protective film.Place it in a position where the film is held by double-sided tape.
9. Gradually place the parts on the adhesive film.Note: if the material is flexible, when you place it on the film, bend it slightly to curl it up so that air escapes between the material and the film.
10. To ensure that the sheet adheres to the film, apply pressure to the material, especially along all edges, to ensure good adhesion.A clean paint roller may be used for this purpose.
11. Trace part of the outline on the protective film with a art knife and remove the excess film.Remove the excess and process it.
12. Turn the part carefully and, if necessary, apply pressure directly to the membrane and work outwards from the middle to ensure good adhesion of the whole area.
13. Inspect the completed piece to be complete and wrinkle-free.For mass production, it is recommended to use a machine commonly known as a laminator to coat the protective film.This is especially useful when both sides of the paper need to be protected because machines can be used on both sides at the same time.
